Damoh Zila Panchayat is authorized for promoting and supervising civic development in rural areas of the district. Zila Panchayat, in case if you don’t know, is actually federal body for promoting civic development in all the rural areas of India. It has to coordinate with elected members of Gram Panchayat and Janpad Panchayat to facilitate development process in rural areas. In case of Damoh District, Zila Panchayat has to coordinate with 461 Gram Panchayats and 7 Janpad Panchayats.
The 461 Gram Panchayats that are there are divided among 1229 villages. As for 7 Janpad Panchayats are concerned, then they are represented by Domah, Hatta, Jabera, Patera, Pathariya, Tendukheda and Batiagarh.
